This invention proposes a system and method to optimize the WUSB bandwidth by aggregating the transfer results in a CWUSB DWA System. The proposed method provides a way to aggregate the available transfer results in to a single WUSB packet of a DWA system and notify the CWUSB Host/HWA about the same. In a DWA system with a number of downstream ports and the CWUSB Host/HWA scheduling for WA system, there will be for sure as many transfer results as available to be given back to the CWUSB Host/HWA at a point of time. As per the latest version of the CWUSB specification, each transfer result is a WUSB packet which results in the header bytes overhead and CWUSB Host/HWA scheduling overhead. By aggregating the available transfer results as per the proposed method, we can save the WUSB bandwidth and reduce the CWUSB Host/HWA overhead. Overall, this method will increase the bus performance. This proposed method requires engineering changes to the CWUSB specification.
