A HARDWARE ARCHITECTURE OF CRYPTO SYSTEM-ON-CHIP (CRYPTO-SOC) (10) IN HARDWARE SECURITY MODULE IS DISCLOSED THAT ALLOWS SIGNIFICANT PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT IN CRYPTOGRAPHIC FUNCTIONS ACCELERATION FOR INFORMATION SECURITY.THE CRYPTO-SOC (10) COMPRISES A PLURALITY OF CRYPTO MODULES WHICH CAPABLE TO PERFORM VARIOUS STATE-OF-THE-ART CRYPTOGRAPHIC ALGORITHMS IN A SINGLE, MULTI-MILLION TRANSISTORS IC CHIP.AMONG OF THESE CRYPTOGRAPHIC SET OF INSTRUCTIONS ARE SYMMETRIC ENCRYPTION, PUBLIC KEY ENCRYPTION AND DIGITAL SIGNATURE SIGNING, MESSAGE DIGEST HASHING AND RANDOM NUMBER GENERATION. SPECIFICALLY, THESE CRYPTO MODULES ARE SCALABLE DESIGN AND THE COMPLETE CRYPTO-SOC IS TARGETED FOR FIELD PROGRAMMABLE GATE ARRAY (FPGA) PLATFORM DUE TO ITS RECONFIGURABILITY AND DESIGN FLEXIBILITY IN SECURITY STRENGTH LEVEL UPGRADING FROM TIME-TOTIME ACCORDING TO THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENT.
