Nutritional compensation for western type diet

Composition comprising docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (ARA) for use in compensating hypercholesterolemia in human subjects, in which the human subject is subjected to a diet containing between 25-40% by weight of fats, 40-55% by weight of carbohydrates and 10-20% by weight of proteins and in which the composition is administered as a daily supplement to said diet.
