An antibody directed to a human IRT3 protein, wherein the amino acid sequence of the human IRTA3 protein is the 734 amino acid sequence set forth in Figure 18C1-18C2 (SEQ ID NO: 5) with the proviso that the antibody does not bind to amino acids 1-186 of the protein.
