ACTIVE AIRFIELD LIGHTING APPARATUS AND ACTIVE AIRFIELD LIGHTING METHOD

An active airfield lighting apparatus is disclosed. The active airfield lighting apparatus may comprise: a plurality of lighting units arranged along a preconfigured movement position of a moving object and capable of lighting up in multiple colors; an object sensing unit, provided in each of the lighting units, for sensing the movement of the moving object, moving velocity, and position information; a position information unit for informing of the lighting position of the lighting units; and a control unit for performing a variable color control among a plurality of lighting units according to the movement of the moving object by communication among the plurality of lighting units, wherein the moving object is configured to move according to the operation of the lighting units. The lighting units of the present invention can help an aircraft to safely taxi on the ground to a destination mooring so as to avoid a collision among the plurality of aircrafts taxiing on a taxiway.
