[Problem] To provide sugar-pickled vegetable foods containing sugar alcohol, characterized by having qualities similar to those of conventional candied foods and by being sugar free or low sugar. [Solution] Provided are sugar-pickled vegetable foods wherein at least 50% of the sugars contained therein comprise a sugar alcohol, said sugar alcohol containing 50% to less than 99.5% maltitol, 0.5% to less than 50% sorbitol, and 5% or less of sugar alcohol with a degree of polymerization of 3. Also provided are a sugar-pickling liquid used for the sugar-pickled vegetable foods, and a method for producing the vegetable foods.
