An annotation display assistance device includes: a display processing unit for displaying an image, which can be included in a first group, in relation to a search word; an input receiving unit for receiving selection of the image, which should be included in a second group, from images displayed by the display processing unit, in relation to the search word; and an annotation addition unit for detecting the image, which can be included in the second group, from the images displayed by the display processing unit, based on the image selected to be included in the second group, for adding the annotation related to the image. The display processing unit displays an annotation related to the image, which is detected by the annotation addition unit and can be included in the second unit. The annotation indicates that the image can be included in the second group.
