The present invention provides a method for increasing productivity of a non-ribosomal peptide-based compound comprising compounds such as glycopeptides and lipoglycopeptides, favorably, a glycopeptide-based compound comprising vancomycin, teicoplanin, balhimycin, and the like, more favorably, vancomycin, by selecting and introducing a gene encoding SigA-vm protein which plays a role in transcription of essential gene from a microorganism capable of producing non-ribosomal peptide-based compound.
