The present invention relates to a method for curing cancer or screening an inhibitor for suppressing the metastasis of cancer. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for curing cancer or screening an inhibitor for suppressing the metastasis of cancer using ELK3, and a pharmaceutical composition curing cancer or suppressing the metastasis of cancer, including an inhibitor for suppressing the expression or activity of ELK3. According to the present invention, the ELK3 is overly and particularly expressed in a cell strain of a malignant breast cancer. By suppressing the ELK3, the expression of mobility, penetrability and metastasis-related genes of a cell strain MDA-MB231, which is the cell strain of a malignant breast cancer, can be deterred. Therefore, the pharmaceutical composition, containing an inhibitor for the expression or activity of ELK3 as an active component, can be used. Moreover, the present invention can also be used to screen a compound for curing cancer for suppressing the expression of ELK3.
