The present invention relates to a broadcasting system for a ship, having a malfunction diagnosis module mounted thereon, and a malfunction diagnosis method. The broadcasting system includes a broadcasting system unit and a malfunction diagnosis device of the broadcasting system for a ship. The broadcasting system unit for a ship includes: a main control unit controlling the broadcasting system; an input unit inputting a voice signal; an amplifier amplifying the voice signal inputted from the input unit; an interface board allocating the amplified voice signal to speakers individually; the one or more speakers playing the amplified voice signal; a main power supply unit supplying power to the above components; and an emergency power supply unit supplying replacement power. The malfunction diagnosis device of the broadcasting system for a ship includes: a test point detecting whether or not the signal delivered and transmitted to each of the components is inputted and outputted; a diagnosis device interface collecting the detected information from the test point; and a malfunction diagnosis module including a diagnosis device control unit diagnosing malfunction. Therefore, the malfunction of the speakers in the broadcasting system for a ship using multiple speakers can be automatically diagnosed without an additional inspection worker or inspection instrument.
