The present invention relates to an apparatus to inspect a piston equipment based piston ring gap, and a method to measure a piston ring gap using the same. The purpose of a first aspect of the present invention, in accordance with the apparatus to inspect the piston equipment based piston ring gap (10) comprising a piston insertion hole (11), a dial gauge (12), and a lever unit (13), is to provide the apparatus to inspect the piston equipment based piston ring gap having the piston insertion hole (11) formed to store while being inserted into a piston (2) with respect to a reference piston ring (1) corresponding to a preset dimension of a gap (s1); and being inserted into the piston (2) with respect to another piston ring (1) different from the reference piston ring (1).
