Provided is a catecholamine derivative compound which is a novel chelate ligand for supercritical extraction, preparation method thereof, and a metal extraction method using the same. According to the present invention, a supercritical fluid and the catecholamine derivative can be used to extract metal components, particularly cesium, in radioactive contaminants or radioactive wastes in an environment-friendly manner at low costs. The catecholamine derivative compound of the present invention is represented by chemical formula 1.
