The present invention relates to flavored tea with improved palatability and a preparation method thereof, and more particularly, to flavored tea with improved palatability, which has a sweet flavor, and effectively masks unique bitter and astringent tastes of green or black tea by adding flavor with addition of flavor granules to the green tea, the black tea, or a mixture of the green and black tea, and by mixing sugar granules with the flavored mixture. The present invention also relates to a preparation method thereof. In addition, the flavored tea has more excellent product stability by using the flavor granules instead of existing liquid flavor coating. In the flavored tea having dried green tea, black tea, or a mixture thereof, red papaya flavor granules and sugar granules are added. The red papaya flavor granules are prepared by mixing liquid red papaya flavor with one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of anhydrous crystalline glucose, dextrin, and sorbitol; producing flavor powder; and granulating the flavor powder.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
