摘要

The present invention relates to a technology associated with plant transformation. More specifically, the present invention relates to a transgenic rice from with an antibiotic selection marker is removed and into which rice-derived high affinity phosphate carrier gene OsPT4 is introduced. The present invention further relates to a production method thereof. The transgenic rice not including the antibiotic selection marker, concerns about safety on genetically modified crops by consumers are reduced, and the transgenic rice ensures excellent commercial applicability compared to other transgenic rice. In addition, the OsPT4 used in the present invention is a high affinity phosphate carrier expressed in rice under a condition deficient in phosphate. Thus, over-expression of the gene can increase uptake of phosphate which is one of essential nutrients for plants, thereby enhancing utilizability of phosphate in soil.
