The present invention relates to a method for preparing sweet and sour chicken (Dak GangJeong) including an octopus, and sweet and sour chicken prepared thereby. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for preparing sweet and sour chicken which includes an octopus, capable of improving a texture of food and a flavor, allowing a user to conveniently eat various nutritive components which an octopus has by frying the chicken with an octopus when the fried chicken applied to the sweet and sour chicken is prepared, and further improving a texture of food, a taste, and a nutrition by further selectively including vegetables when the chicken and the octopus are combined; and to a sweet and sour chicken prepared thereby.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
