The present invention relates to a compound targeting a folate receptor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The present invention further relates to a composition for preventing, diagnosing, or treating cancer, containing the same as an active ingredient. According to the compound or the salt thereof, a peptide with an amino acid sequence represented by glycine-glycine-cysteine-glutamate (GGCE) is attached to folate, leading to a specific binding to a cancer cell on which folate receptors are over-expressed.
