The present invention relates to a producing method of a secondary particle in zinc oxide, a secondary particle produced thereby, and an active material for a lithium ion battery comprising the same. The producing method comprises the steps of: a) producing a first mixture by dissolving zinc salt in a first solvent which is a mixed solution of water and dimethylformamide; b) producing a second mixture by dissolving a carbon complex in a second solvent which is a mixed solution of water and dimethylformamide; and c) mixing and reacting the first mixture and the second mixture.
