HANDOVER FROM CELLULAR TO WLAN IN INTEGRATED NETWORK

Wireless communication in an integrated network that handles data for multimode terminals that receive data over two or more different networks is disclosed. Different networks are disclosed including 3GPP and WLAN. Mobile entities that receive data packets from a packet gateway are disclosed. Methods for handing off a mobile entity from a cellular wireless network to a trusted wireless access network (TWAN) are disclosed. It is disclosed that the Internet Protocol (IP) interface of the mobile entity is ready to receive data packets over the TWAN. Displaying mobile entity readiness to receive data packets via TWAN is disclosed.
