The present invention relates to a mathematics education material for improving mental arithmetic skills, and to a recording medium having the same recorded therein. More specifically, the present invention relates to a mathematics education material for improving mental arithmetic skills, and a recording medium having the same recorded therein, wherein the mathematics education material enables a user to rapidly and easily perform mental arithmetic by practicing imaging and calculating additions and subtractions compared to simple arithmetic using numbers. To this end, the mathematics education material according to the present invention comprises: a formula displaying part for displaying all or a part of formulas in which two or more natural numbers to be calculated are connected through an addition (+) or a subtraction (-); a diagram part including a first displaying blank provided with the formulas displayed on the formula displaying part and having five widthwise spaces, and a second displaying blank formed in a shape corresponding to the first displaying blank and having one or more lengthwise lines; and a pattern part in which a first pattern and a second pattern having different differentiable images displayed on the blanks of the diagram part are formed according to the sum of the formulas or the number corresponding to a first digit.
