The present invention relates to a composition for diagnosing type 1 diabetes, containing a preparation used for measuring the level of autoantibody which binds to eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1α1 (EEF1A1) or ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme 2L3 (UBE2L3). The present invention further relates to a kit for diagnosing type 1 diabetes containing the composition, and to a method for detecting autoantibody binding to EEF1A1 or UBE2L3 so as to provide information required for diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. The use of the autoantibody binding to the EEF1A1 or UBE2L3 provided in the present invention enables specific diagnosis of the presence of type 1 diabetes.
