Disclosed are an ionic liquid for a lead-acid battery, an electrolyte for a lead-acid battery containing the ionic liquid, and a lead-acid battery containing the electrolyte. The ionic liquid for a lead-acid battery is added to an electrolyte for a lead-acid battery including distilled water and sulfuric acid (H_2SO_4), and comprises distilled water, magnesium sulfate (MgSO_4), and Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt (EDTA-2Na). Furthermore, the electrolyte for a lead-acid battery comprises the ionic liquid for lead-acid battery, and the lead-acid battery comprises the electrolyte for a lead-acid battery.
