Disclosed are a method and apparatus for providing grammatical error feedback based on the degree of understanding of grammar of a user. The method for providing grammatical error feedback comprises the steps of: performing voice recognition on utterance of a user, and converting the utterance of the user into text; detecting a grammatical error included in the text based on grammar information of each of words constituting the text; determining the degree of understanding of grammar of the user regarding the grammatical error based on a previously constructed user understanding model, and determining whether to provide feedback regarding the grammatical error; and generating and providing feedback including correction information regarding the grammatical error. Therefore, the efficiency and reliability of language learning can be improved, and a customized language learning service can be provided for an individual user.
