The present invention relates to a bidirectional power supply apparatus for a vehicle and a bidirectional power supply method using the same. To this end, an electric vehicle bidirectional power supply device for a smart grid according to the present invention comprises: a battery; A BMS (Battery Management System) for measuring the SOC (State of Charge) of the battery; An MCU (Motor Control Unit) including a controller and an inverter and controlling the operation of the motor; A determination unit for determining whether the driver is operating in the smart mode; A grid power supply unit for supplying the output current of the inverter to a grid connected to the electric vehicle by an instruction of the determination unit in the smart mode; The present invention provides an electric vehicle bi-directional power supply for a smart grid.
