The present invention relates to a bidirectional electric power supplying apparatus of an electric vehicle for a smart grid in which a battery management system (BMS) can determine whether to charge a battery or a grid and control each of them, and a bidirectional electric power supplying method using the same. The bidirectional electric power supplying apparatus according to the present invention, which is connected to the smart grid and supply electric power bidirectionally between the electric vehicle and the smart grid according to electric power demand, comprises: a bidirectional charger (50) connected to the smart grid for supplying electric power to a high-voltage battery (10) of the electric vehicle or supplying to charge the high-voltage battery (10); a BMS controlling a charge of the high-voltage battery (10), being electrically connected to the bidirectional charge (50), judging a charging state of the high-voltage battery (10) and determining whether a current time is a smart time, and controlling the bidirectional charge (50) for charging the high-voltage battery (10) from the grid or supplying electric power from the high-voltage battery (10) to the grid. According to the bidirectional electric power supplying method, if a mode is set as the smart mode, in consideration of whether the current time is the smart time or midnight time, the electric power is supplied from the high-voltage battery to the grid or supplied from the grid to the high-voltage battery according to the SOC of the high-voltage battery (10).
