The present invention relates to a method for preparing functional tea with peduncle of nipa fruticans and functional tea prepared thereby. More specifically, the method for preparing functional tea with peduncle of nipa fruticans comprises the steps of: cutting peduncle of nipa fruticans; heating the cut peduncle in boiling water for 20 to 40 minutes; tearing off the heated penduncle in a longitudinal direction; firstly removing moisture from the torn penduncle; inputting the penduncle from which moisture was firstly removed to allow the same to have salinity of 8 to 12%; aging the salted penduncle for 40 to 60 hours; secondarily removing moisture from the aged penduncle; removing salt from the penduncle from which moisture was secondly removed by putting the same in water; thirdly removing moisture from the penduncle from which salt is removed; drying the penduncle from which moisture was thirdly removed; and roasting the dried penduncle. The functional teach according to the present invention has an advantage of promoting the health of a tea drinker as the tea has excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
