FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: chemically modified planar optical sensor comprises, arranged in series, a substrate based on a dielectric chemically inert material, a nanopatterned coating with thickness of 1-10 mcm based on noble metal nanoparticles with a size of 20-90 nm, and a transparent microporous chitosan film, which is chemically modified with a ?-acceptor compound, capable of detecting an analyte and chemically bonding therewith by forming a charge-transfer complex.
