Some protective and residual protective properties of the heterocyclic compound of the imidazol class during iron corroding in sulphuric acid (depending on the inhibitor's composition and the conditions of forming an adsorption layer) have been studied. Modifying the organic compounds with bromine anions and extending the time of film formation facilitate the growth of the protective properties of the inhibitor. It has been optically established that the use of a composite inhibitor and an increase in the adsorption time contributed to the formation of an organic sediment more uniformly distributed over the electrode surface. It has also been discovered that the film is resistant to microdischarges after repeated exposure of the electric field to it, which may be due to the destruction of high-conductive channels in the film.
