A squirrel-cage rotor (1) for an asynchronous electrical machine is proposed, which has a plate pack (7) of a multiplicity of laminations (5) stacked next to one another in the axial direction and a short-circuiting cage (9), shorting bars (11) of the short-circuit cage (9 ) extend in the axial direction through the disk set (7) and in each case by a short-circuit ring (13) at end faces of the disk set (7) are interconnected.
