CONTINUOUS LEAK DETECTION SWITCHING WITH INTEGRATED ROBUST TESTING AND SYMMETRICAL ERROR DETECTION

A leak detection circuit with built-in robustness testing provides leak detection and continuous robustness testing capability. A circuit may include a first voltage divider coupled to a chassis ground and to a positive terminal of a traction energy storage device (ESV). A second voltage divider connected in series with the first voltage divider may be coupled to the chassis ground and to a negative terminal of the ESV. A third voltage divider may be coupled to both the positive and negative ESV terminals. A test product based on a voltage detected at the third voltage divider may be compared to a sum VS from voltages detected at the first and second voltage divider to check for a circuit fault. Voltages detected at the first and second voltage dividers and SOC values may be used to detect leakage errors, including symmetrical leakage errors, and an error response may be performed.
