The invention relates to a method for accessing a shared directory of contacts present in an Internet gateway from a telephone, characterised in that said method comprises the following steps: receiving, in the gateway, at least one DTMF signal emitted by the telephone; the triggering of a functionality associated with the directory in the gateway in response to the reception of said at least one DTMF signal; and the display of information on a screen of the gateway following the triggering of said functionality.
