PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship maneuvering control method capable of making a responsibility and a convergence property compatible even in the case of performing an engine control by setting a target vessel speed.SOLUTION: This ship maneuvering control method for a ship equipped with an engine: sets a target vessel speed; detects the actual vessel speed of the ship; acquires the basic engine speed related to the set target vessel speed; corrects the basic engine speed in accordance with the difference between the target vessel speed and the actual vessel speed, thereby to set the corrected engine speed to a target engine speed; and controls the engine so that the actual vessel speed may approach the target vessel speed on the basis of the target engine speed set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
