PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hair removal devices comprising a skin-engaging shaving assistant member that can exert a sustained cooling effect in actual use without losing a thermo-lively sense (cool sense) imparting agent and its effect in production processes, and to provide production methods thereof.SOLUTION: A hair removal device comprises: a. a cartridge 14; b. one or more blades 18 positioned on the cartridge 14; and c. a skin-engaging shaving assistant member 22 positioned on the cartridge 14. The skin-engaging shaving assistant member comprises: a. a matrix comprising at least one of a water soluble polymer, an emollient, and a soap base, wherein the water soluble polymer is present in a concentration of 50 to 90% by weight of the matrix; b. a thermo-lively sensory agent having a concentration of 5 to 15% by weight of the skin-engaging shaving assistant member containing a particular N-substituted menthane carboxamide; and c. a water-insoluble polymer of 15 to 35% by weight with respect to the skin-engaging shaving assistant member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
