PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time for fitting a liquid pressure brake device for a bicycle.SOLUTION: A method for fitting a liquid pressure brake device to a bicycle includes the following steps: a) fixing a control member (20) to a handle bar; b) fixing a brake member to a bearing element; c) connecting a first free end 42 of a flexible tube 40 to one of the control member 20 and the brake member; d) connecting a second free end 44 of the flexible tube to a fitting tool 50; e) preparing a fitting cable 60; f) connecting the fitting cable 60 to the fitting tool connected to the flexible tube 40; g) inserting the fitting cable 60 into an inner cavity between an inlet opening and an outlet opening; h) pulling the fitting cable 60 in the inner cavity between the inlet opening and the outlet opening; i) removing the fitting tool from the second free end 44; and j) connecting the second free end 44 to the other of the control member 20 and the brake member, not necessarily in order of a) to j).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
