PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of hair and a solid bath agent for cleaning hair which are called as a carbonic acid gas bath agent or a bath agent, used for bath, shower, shampooing, aesthetic or the like, and have excellent cleaning power of mineral stain.SOLUTION: In a solid bath agent containing bicarbonate (sodium hydrogen carbonate or potassium hydrogen carbonate) and organic acid, PH of aqueous solution immediately after dissolving the solid bath agent is 5.5 to 9.0, and the agent does not contain bicarbonate ion blocking substance, in which the organic acid is at least one of citric acid, fumaric acid, succinic acid, malic acid, and the agent contains anhydrous sodium carbonate and/or anhydrous potassium carbonate, hot water in which the solid bath agent is dissolved is brought in contact with hair for cleaning, bicarbonate ion in hot water is prevented from being blocked by the bicarbonate ion blocking substance, smoothness when hair is combed by fingers, feeling of thickness/volume and high elasticity of hair after drying are obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: None
