摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train position detection system using image processing, capable of the travel position of a train with high accuracy and at low cost.SOLUTION: The train position detection system has an image feature database for storing a SURF feature extracted from each frame image of a base video image recorded by photographing a space ahead in a traveling direction while causing a train with a video camera set to travel on a track and position information associated with the SURF feature. A travel position of the train is detected on the basis of similarity calculated by comparing the SURF feature of a designated frame image of a reference video image recorded by photographing a space ahead in a traveling direction by the video camera while causing the train to travel on the track on date and time different from the date and time when the base video image is recorded with the SURF feature of each frame image of the base video image stored in the image feature database by frame matching processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
