PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method of a plate crown prediction model, by which when rolling condition varies, a parameter indicating a restraining degree of a rolling roll is calculated so as to fit to the rolling condition and a plate crown can be predicted without being influenced by the rolling condition.SOLUTION: The determination method of the plate crown prediction model of the present invention is a determination method of a plate crown prediction model, in which when the plate crown of a rolled material X rolled by the rolling mills 2 and 3 having rolling rolls constituted of a pair of work rolls 4 and a backup roll 5 is predicted, the deflections of the rolling rolls 4 and 5 are calculated based on the rolling load distribution in the width direction of the rolling rolls 4 and 5 by using " a restraining degree parameter " indicating a restraining degree of the rolling rolls 4 and 5 with respect to a bearing chock part 12 of rolling mills 2 and 3, and the plate crown is predicted using the calculated deflection. In the determination method of the plate crown prediction model, the plate crown is predicted based on "the restraining degree parameter " with "the restraining degree parameter " as a function of a rolling load per unit plate width of the rolled material X.
