PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device of a vibration hammer capable of holding a steel pipe by exerting pressing force only from one direction inside or outside of the steel pipe and without deforming the steel pipe, along with an installation method of a steel pipe pile using the same.;SOLUTION: A holding device 1 of a vibration hammer VH is for holding a steel pipe P, and includes a head part 2, a support part 3 extending downward from an undersurface of the head part 2, and one or a plurality of pressing means 4 provided at one or a plurality of locations in the direction of extension of the support part 3 and generating pressing force in an outward or inward direction on an inner or outer surface of the steel pipe P. The pressing force is of a magnitude sufficient for generating frictional force that can fix the steel pipe P at a time of driving or pull-out by the vibration hammer VH. Furthermore, a location of pressing by the pressing means 4 on the steel pipe P is in an intermediate region in a lengthwise direction of the steel pipe P, so as not to cause deformation by the pressing force.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
