The process of obtaining hydroxyapatite via fish bone calcination is characterized by using a natural raw material available in any region of the country and of low cost. In addition, the calcining temperatures employed can be achieved in muffle furnaces with simple temperature control. The production process employed according to claim 1 is characterized by adding value to the raw material employed and the use of very simple techniques for obtaining hydroxypatite. The production process is characterized by employing a temperature range between 750 and 950ºc with the use of air as a protective atmosphere during the calcination process. The combination of the use of the cited raw material and the techniques employed according to claim 1 provides the reduction of the cost of production of the material in question, obtaining a good quality and low cost natural material. The production process employed according to claim 1 is characterized by using vacuum, oxygen, argon or even air as a protective atmosphere in the process of producing synthesized pellets.
