They are given in this formulation which includes a dextromorphine analogue according to Type I or Type II or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof,each of the former,and a co-factor,e.g.,an antidepressant such as a norepinephrine serotonin reuptake inhibitor,a serotonin dopamine reuptake inhibitor,a norepinephrine dopamine reuptake inhibitor,a monoamine oxidase inhibitor,a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and a tricyclic antidepressant or a medically acceptable salt of any of the above. Compositions are useful in treating the pseudochromatic emotion,neuropathic pain,neurodegenerative diseases,brain injuries and the like.
