A vapour mattress (18) is applied to the upper surface after forming the channels (14) so that the vapour mattress (18) bridges the number of parallel channels (14). After thatthe intermediate insulating product (20) is mechanically controlled in areas adjacent to the bottom of the channels (14) causing the channels to close (14) to form aa non-flat derived duct insulation product and the steam-tight layer (18) forms an internal vapour investment (18) in the derived duct insulation product (30).
