摘要

A method of removing arsenic from contaminated water where the As(lll) contaminated water of circum neutral pH, also containing Fe(lll), is treated with wurtzite ZnS nanorods and consequently, micro particles of Tooeleite, having the general formula of Fe6 (ASO3)4 SO4 (OH)4. 4H2O and particle size from 500nm to 1µm, precipitate out and consequently, separated from water by simple filtration route wherein As3+ ions is taken out from neutral As(OH)3 species using activated surfaces of a nano crystal, said nano crystals mean hexagonal wurtzite ZnS nanorod structures with completely polar (complete Zn2+ or completely S2-) ends.
