Provided are: a lubricant oil composition that is for an internal combustion engine and that prevents deterioration of the combustion state of an ignition type internal combustion engine more specifically a lubricant oil composition that is for a spark ignition type internal combustion engine and is a lubricant oil composition used in a spark ignition type internal combustion engine in which the tensile force applied to a piston ring is a total tensile force of 100 N or lower per piston and that is characterized by containing predetermined contents of a base oil a calcium based cleaning agent (A) at least one selected from a sodium based additive (B1) and a magnesium based additive (B2) and an ash free sulfur based additive (C); a method for producing the lubricant oil composition; a spark ignition type internal combustion engine using the lubricant oil composition; and a method for lubricating the internal combustion engine.
