A pallet-type base, more particularly for transportation and storage containers for liquids, provided with an inner container made of plastic, with a closable filler neck and a discharge neck for connection to a drainage valve, wherein the base has an outer casing made of a metal grille or sheet, and a floor (13) for supporting the inner container, corner feet and central feet disposed between the corner feet, and a floor crossbeam (16), wherein at least the outer casing and the floor crossbeam are fastened to at least two central feet, wherein each central foot, the outer casing and the floor crossbeam are interlockingly fastened by means of a screw (45), wherein a clip (28) is provided which surroundingly engages the floor crossbeam (16) and a perimeter edge of the outer casing, and wherein the screw (45) passes through legs (29, 30) of the clip.
