It is described a method for determining glucose and ketones in urine for early diagnosis of diabetes using strips for determination of glucose and ketones in urine, wherein the reaction test zone of the strip is dipped into a urine sample and then is removed from this sample or a test zone may be kept in the stream of urine and after wetting the test zone the strip is compared with the color scale. The test strip is exposed to urine only one, after one of the three main meals, after 90 minutes after a meal. The pack of test strips for this process contains three test strips.
