Ammonium carbonate salt to be used as a fertilizer and / or organic reducing agent for nitrogen oxides emissions and the process of obtaining it, which, applicable to eliminate part of the NOx from mobile or fixed engines or combustion systems, consists of a salt diluted in water obtained from animal and / or plant biomass. Specifically ammonium carbonate resulting from the chemical reaction: {IMAGE-01} obtained by: solid / liquid separation of the biomass obtaining water and ammonia, with heavy metals; pineapple filtering of heavy metals; separation of ammonia and water and impurities by means of "stripping" worn or evaporated, obtaining gaseous ammonia and water vapor; combustion of biomass methane to obtain CO {sub, 2} + H {sub, 2} O, combined in the ammonia reactor and water vapor with the exhaust gases obtaining the agent.
