A method for the identification of an individual with a higher risk of thrombosis or suffering from an atherothrombotic event, which comprises a step of testing a biological sample of the individual to detect the presence of a minor allelic variant selected from SEQUENCES ID NO 1 to 21 , in which the presence of a minor allelic variant of SEQUENCES ID NO 1 to 21 correlates with the individual who is most at risk of thrombosis or atherothrombotic event.
