Retractable tubular support device (1) comprising at least two elements: - a tubular mandrel (10) produced by means of a tube notched along the entire length thereof along a cut (11) defining two lips (12, 13), of adjustable length greater than the width of the coil (5) to be formed and produced from a material enabling manual inward pinching of the tube in order to reduce the diameter D by overlapping of the two lips (12, 13), said tubular mandrel (10) being fitted, on the outer and/or inner surface thereof, with a rough anti-slip strip (15) and - a first elastic net or tubular mesh (3) made from a synthetic material or composite, said first net or mesh being slipped over the notched tube (10), said device (1) being capable of being slipped over the expanding pneumatic shaft (2) before winding and said device (1) being designed so that once the coil (5) has been formed, the coil (5) can first be withdrawn from the metal shaft (2) and then separated by pinching and manual withdrawal of said retractable tubular support device (1).
