Provided are an information pushing method and a charge system during a charge based on a reading progress, relating to the field of Internet. The method comprises: recording preset charging progress nodes in an e-book and a charge corresponding to each charging progress node; recording a deposit account associated with a user account; detecting a reading progress of a user; deducting, when the reading progress of the user reaches a charging progress node, a charge corresponding to the current charging progress node from the deposit account; and determining whether the balance of the deposit account is greater than a charge corresponding to the next charging progress node, if the balance of the deposit account is greater than the charge corresponding to the next charging progress node, continuing to transport an e-book data stream, and pushing patent information to a content provider; otherwise, terminating transport of an e-book data stream. By means of the method and system, a user pays according to a reading progress, thereby improving the precision of payment charges; a content provider can transport a corresponding e-book data stream according to a deposit balance of the user; meanwhile, product characteristics experienced by the user and patent information are combined.
