A method for pressing a fiberboard. A to-be-pressed fiber blank is fed in a feeding contour (191) formed by upper and lower steel belts along with cyclic movement of the upper and lower steel belts (130, 140) and then enters a material pressing passage (192) formed by upper and lower feeding hot-pressing boards (170, 180) so as to be pressed into a fiberboard; and the material pressing passage is divided into a normal pressing curing zone (192b) and a pressing but not curing zone (192a), the to-be-pressed fiber blank firstly enters the pressing but not curing zone and then enters the normal pressing curing zone, and during a process that the to-be-pressed fiber blank passes through the pressing but not curing zone, the thickness of the to-be-pressed fiber blank is compressed, but an adhesive is not cured. Also disclosed is a continuous press adopting the method. The thickness of pre-curing layers on the upper and lower surfaces of a fiberboard after pressing is reduced to a large extent, raw materials are saved, the sanding amount is reduced, the electricity consumption of a sanding device is reduced, and dust generated by sanding is reduced.
