The main subject matter of the invention is an attenuation device (10) for a nuclear instrumentation device (20) for measurement by gamma spectrometry, allowing the selective attenuation of the gamma radiation originating from at least one emitting source (11) emitting towards at least one gamma spectrometry detector (12), characterised in that it comprises a main body (1) comprising an inlet face (1a) and an outlet face (1b), and further comprising a revolution-shaped inner cavity (2) opening on the inlet face (1a) of the main body (1) via an inlet opening (2a), so as to receive the gamma radiation, and on the outlet face (1b) of the main body (1) via an outlet opening (2b), so as to transmit the gamma radiation.
